This is as easy as it gets for Do-it-yourself (DIY) projects. If you are in need of a microphone stand and have no cash to spend, a regular metal coat hanger could work as an acceptable solution. Just fold the hanger into a diamond shape, attach the mic on the open end, then bend in half with the bottom triangle acting as the tripod. Perfect for scratch voiceovers.(via Lifehacker)
